Work with Us
Bridgepointe works with more than 300 volunteers, who give approximately 20,000 hours of their time and talents, each year. Volunteers are community members, students, families and friends, and local businesses. Current volunteer opportunities include:
Kindergarten Literacy Program: Volunteers work with students in small group settings once a week. Volunteers and students work on providing additional assistance to kindergarten students in reading, writing, listening, and recognition of letters, numbers, and words.
Reading Buddies: Volunteers work with elementary students one-on-one or in small group settings once or twice a week at either Neinas Dual Language Academy or the Academy of the Americas Elementary-Middle School. Volunteers and students read and discuss books, focusing on literacy development and a love for reading.
Tutoring: Volunteers are matched with a elementary or middle school student who may be struggling in one particular area or areas and serve as an additional academic resource. Volunteers and students meet once or twice a week at either Neinas Dual Language Academy or the Academy of the Americas Elementary-Middle School.
Events: Volunteers may be recruited to provide assistance at Bridgepointe events and programs. Interested volunteers will be recruited to provide service in event planning, hosting, assistance in preparation, etc.
